Steven Garland recognized for his “incredible work ethic” and “well-honed advocacy skills” with 2019 Lexology Client Choice award

Steven, known for his leading work in IP and Patents, is praised by colleagues and clients as “[working] tirelessly for clients and [delivering] outside of the courtroom; he provides innovative strategic advice no matter how challenging the circumstances.”

In addition to being one of Canada’s premier intellectual property litigators, he was also lead counsel for the Dow Chemical Company in a victory that netted the largest reported award in a Canadian patent infringement case on infringing revenues of approximately 1B dollars.

Steven has over 25 years of trial and appellate experience in intellectual property litigation of all types, including issues relating to patent, trademark, copyright, industrial designs, trade secrets and competition law.
