Matthew has over 20 years of experience in drafting and prosecuting originating applications, in a variety of technical areas, and strategically developing and managing portfolios.
Practical patent prosecution and industrial design guidance for clients at every scale
Matthew's clientele spans diverse industries and includes individual inventors, small and medium-sized Canadian companies, public institutions, and international corporations. He works extensively with foreign associates to acquire protection for his clients in jurisdictions around the world and secure Canadian patents for foreign clients. Beyond patents, Matthew's practice covers industrial designs, where he guides clients on registering design rights in Canada and abroad.
With a technical background in Materials Engineering, Matthew has an in‑depth understanding of related technologies across a wide range of industries.
