Smart & Biggar’s Jamie-Lynn Kraft honoured as a 2022 Lexpert Rising Star: Leading Lawyer Under 40

Smart & Biggar is pleased to share that Jamie-Lynn Kraft, a Principal in our Ottawa office, has been named a 2022 Lexpert Rising Star. This Lexpert Rising Star Award honours leading Canadian lawyers under the age of 40, in recognition of the outstanding contributions they have made to the legal profession in their careers.

Jamie-Lynn is a highly experienced lawyer and trademark agent whose counsel extends beyond protecting brand owners’ valuable IP assets. Jamie-Lynn was recently appointed to Principal at Smart & Biggar in light of her extensive expertise and outstanding service to clients, leading the way in intellectual property services in Canada.

With a passion for helping businesses grow, Jamie-Lynn advises her clients on strategies to harness the full potential of their brands. Jamie-Lynn regularly performs trademark clearance searches and provides availability opinions, prepares and files trademark applications, and prosecutes trademark applications before the Canadian Intellectual Property Office. She successfully represents clients in proceedings before the Canadian Trademark Opposition Board.

Jamie-Lynn accepted her award at the Lexpert Rising Stars Awards gala which took place at the Liberty Grand in Toronto on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. Toronto-based Principal Graham Hood also attended the gala.
