Smart & Biggar honoured with two prestigious awards at the inaugural LMG Life Sciences Awards

Smart & Biggar is honoured to have received the award for Canadian Non-contentious Patent Firm of the Year at the inaugural LMG Life Sciences Awards ceremony, held on September 25, 2013 in New York City.

We are also pleased to announce that LMG Life Sciences has named David E. Schwartz Canadian Non-contentious Patent Attorney of the Year. He is the only lawyer in Canada to receive this prominent recognition.

The LMG Life Sciences Awards recognize the leading attorneys, firms and in-house counsel teams, which have played a significant role in the life sciences industry over the past year. The awards categories are linear to the practice areas associated with this year’s edition of LMG Life Sciences.

The inaugural Canada Chapter of LMG Life Sciences has honoured Smart & Biggar as a highly recommended firm in the areas of Intellectual Property: Non-contentious and Intellectual Property: Contentious. In addition, six leading lawyers from Smart & Biggar were recognized as Life Science Stars in the area of Intellectual Property. No other Canadian firm has more lawyers listed in this area.
