Experienced patent advisor
Ken has been a Mechanical Engineer for 42 years, and has been in practice as a patent lawyer for 30 years. His work is principally focused on preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the mechanical and electromechanical fields.
Patent prosecution and risk analysis
Ken advises clients in respect of railroad rolling stock, consumer goods and a wide range of industrial equipment and processes through the full cycle of prosecution from drafting through allowance. In addition to prosecution, Ken prepares validity, infringement and freedom‑to‑operate opinions that support product development, risk assessment and strategic decision‑making.
Ken has written on patent eligible subject-matter. He lectures on the origins and history of patent law. He has lectured on the history of technological innovation.
