Leading Canadian trademark strategist with global portfolio expertise

Janice’s practice focuses on Canadian and international trademark law and practice, with in-depth experience in search analysis, application filing, prosecution and representing clients in opposition and cancellation proceedings. She manages large trademark portfolios for both Canadian and international companies, providing strategic guidance to help clients protect and strengthen their brands in Canada and abroad.

Recognized for trademark excellence, with longstanding leadership

Janice has a distinguished record of leadership and service within the International Trademark Association (INTA). She previously served on INTA’s Board of Directors and co‑chaired an INTA Presidential Task Force. She is currently a sub-committee chair of INTA’s Professional Development Committee. In 2015, INTA honoured her with the Volunteer Service Award for her contributions to the advancement of the Association.
