Smart & Biggar welcomes Associate Karl Racine to our Trademarks practice group
Smart & Biggar is pleased to welcome Karl Racine to our Trademarks practice group as an associate.
Karl’s practice encompasses all aspects of Canadian trademark law, including trademark clearance and prosecution, contentious proceedings before the Trademarks Opposition Board (TMOB), and enforcement and litigation. He has experience working with both Canadian and international clients to secure and defend their trademark rights. He also advises on domain name disputes.
With a background in biomedical sciences, Karl brings a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic insight to his practice. His work spans from startups to large multinationals across a diverse range of industries, including sports, entertainment, pharmaceuticals, technology, fashion, automotive, cleantech, food & beverage, healthcare and industrial machinery. Karl is committed to understanding each client’s unique business goals and industry context to deliver practical and effective legal advice.
