Robert O’Connor is an articling student at Smart & Biggar’s Ottawa office. He has earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa.
With a background in engineering, Robert is passionate about the intersection of technology, innovation, and intellectual property law. He is committed to protecting and enabling innovators’ rights with his knowledge and experience.
Prior to law school, Robert worked as a Radar Systems Engineer at a Canadian organization focusing on air navigation systems. He also gained valuable co-op experience working on the R&D team in a multinational medical devices and healthcare company, contributing to innovative projects aimed at advancing healthcare technologies.
Robert is excited to return to Smart & Biggar and looks forward to developing his skills while learning from leaders in the field of intellectual property in Canada
