Robert O’Connor is a summer student in Smart & Biggar’s Ottawa office. He is currently completing his J.D. at the University of Ottawa.
With a background in engineering, Robert is passionate about the intersection of technology, innovation, and intellectual property law. He is committed to protecting and enabling innovators’ rights with his knowledge and experience.
Prior to law school, Robert gained valuable co-op experience working on the R&D team in a multinational medical devices and health care company, contributing to innovative projects aimed at advancing healthcare technologies. He also worked as a full-time Radar Systems Engineer at a Canadian organization focusing on air navigation systems.
Robert is excited to join Smart & Biggar as a summer student and looks forward to developing his skills while learning from leaders in the field of intellectual property in Canada.
