Allessia Chiappetta is a summer student in Smart & Biggar’s Toronto office. She is currently completing her Juris Doctor at Osgoode Hall Law School.
Allessia graduated Summa Cum Laude with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from York University, consistently earning a place on the Dean's List. During her master’s program, Allessia was awarded with the York Graduate Scholarship.
As Co-President of the Intellectual Property Society of Osgoode, Allessia helps fellow students explore their interests in IP law and gain practical insights. She recently spearheaded a panel event in collaboration with the Osgoode Women’s Network, featuring leading women in IP and fostering meaningful conversations on gender and equity in the field.
Allessia is a legal researcher and blogger for the Ontario Bar Association and Communitech where she provides insights on emerging legislative initiatives. Allessia also works as a research assistant to Professor Giuseppina D’Agostino, contributing to various IP law projects at Osgoode.
