Smart & Biggar joins IP leaders at AIPLA’s Annual Meeting 2022
As a long-standing supporter of the AIPLA, Smart & Biggar is proud to co-sponsor the Diversity Reception taking place at the 2022 American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) Annual Meeting, at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland from October 27-29.
Smart & Biggar’s principal and co-head of our patents and life science practice groups, Daphne Lainson, will attend this year’s annual meeting in person, joining over 1000 intellectual property practitioners. The theme of this year’s conference is “Focused Learning, Deep Dives” offering a program of learning on some of the most important frontiers in IP and Technologies including learning tracks focused on systems integration and redefining boundaries, and open discussions on Climate Change, Therapeutics, Cybersecurity, Non-Fungible Tokens.
The Diversity Reception will take place on October 27 and highlights the association’s efforts to improve diversity in the IP Bar. Here, the Foundation for Advancement of Diversity in IP Law will have materials and information available for attendees.
This year marks the 125th anniversary of the AIPLA and we look forward to celebrating this milestone with members and colleagues in the IP community following the Mid-Winter Institute and Spring Meeting earlier this year.
Visit the AIPLA website to learn more and view the full conference program.
