Alexandra Vas is an articling student at Smart & Biggar’s Montréal office. She earned her Juris Doctor at Osgoode Hall Law School and her LL.B. at the University of Montréal.
Alexandra’s scientific background fueled her pursuit of a career in the field of intellectual property. That interest has fueled her success in moot court competitions. She showcased her exceptional legal skills at the Harold G. Fox Intellectual Property Moot in 2023. In 2024, Alexandra participated in the Laskin Moot, clinching the First Place Factum Award.
Alexandra wrote for the University of Montréal student newspaper Le Pigeon Dissident and was the President of the Diversity Committee at the Faculty of Law. As a pro bono student at the Saint-Michel Legal Clinic (2022-2023) and Law in Action Within Schools (2025), Alexandra provided invaluable legal assistance to those in need.
Alexandra looks forward to returning to Smart & Biggar as an articling student and is excited to continue learning alongside and collaborating with leaders in the field.
