Canada’s Intellectual Property Firm

Tierney GB Deluzio attends the 26th Annual Advertising and Marketing Law Conference in Toronto

Associate, Tierney GB Deluzio, will attend The Canadian Institute’s 26th Annual Advertising and Marketing Law Conference in Toronto from January 21 to 22, 2020. The two-day forum is designed to provide attendees with the information and tools needed to stay ahead of the ever-changing advertising and marketing law industry.

This year’s event will cover the latest changes to the law and discusses pitfalls of common advertising and marketing practices, including ‘misleading’ practices and the Competition Bureau’s willingness to investigate and take action against marketing that it considers to be misleading through any medium.

In addition to networking with industry peers, Tierney will gain an understanding of advertising and data, including privacy, disclosure and misleading representations; the federal and provincial rules for marketing cannabis; Competition Bureau enforcement priorities and changes made for 2019; and online behavioral advertising and the potential privacy infringements.
