Ekaterina Tsimberis visits Napa Valley for the 2018 International Wine Law Association/AIDV Conference

Partner, Ekaterina Tsimberis is attending the International Wine Law Association (AIDV) Conference 2018 in Napa Valley, California from October 1-3 amidst the harvest that is underway in the region. The AIDV Conference is an important conference within the wine industry and focuses on geographical indications.

In addition to attending the conference, Ekaterina was selected to provide the Canadian chapter of a new upcoming AIDV country-by-country publication. The chapter, co-authored by Smart & Biggar associates Andrea Kroetch and Olivier Jean-Lévesque, will provide an overview of the Canadian regulations and applicable intellectual property regime impacting the wine industry, and highlight the relevant trademark and geographical indication laws interested parties should consider.
