Smart & Biggar lawyers join AIPLA members for annual meeting in Washington DC

This week, six Smart & Biggar patent lawyers will attend the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) Annual Meeting from October 25-27. Partners Daphne Lainson, James Pan, Mark Pidkowich, David Schwartz, Matthew Zischka and associate Patrick Roszell will travel to Washington D.C. to hear from experts on current patent issues and meet with IP leaders. At the meeting they will review international law updates and rules that impact their practices, gain an understanding of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and its implications to IP practice and learn about how the newest advancements in technology like the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) will impact IP law.
