Partner Mark Biernacki participates in the annual CAN-TECH Law Conference

Mark Biernacki, a partner in Smart & Biggar’s Toronto office, will speak on October 29th, the opening morning of the 22nd Can-Tech Law Annual Conference in Montreal. Mark will take part in a panel on Intellectual Property Updates for Technology Practice. Drawing from his expertise in trademark and domain names, Mark will speak to the implementation of bill c-31 legislative changes, the potential mechanism for streamlined trademark litigation, the importance of trade dress protection, the availability of global injunctive relief, deceptive search results and domain names and sufficiency of trademark rights needed for domain name complaint.

Conference attendees include counsel practicing in the corporate commercial and technology field, in-house counsel, IT license and contract managers, directors of operation, sourcing and procurement professionals and senior executives.
