Smart & Biggar and Invest Ottawa hosts webinar masterclass on IP strategy for software
On Wednesday, May 6, Smart & Biggar in partnership with Invest Ottawa will host a webinar masterclass – “IP Strategy for Software” – for members of the Invest Ottawa community. Ottawa partner Jeff Leuschner will review the “IP toolkit”, a collection of intellectual property (IP) rights most applicable when evaluating the innovations of software companies.
The webinar, tailored to early stage start-ups and growing businesses, will explore approaches to IP in software technology companies and examined how different innovations can be matched to different IP rights to further business objectives – be it freedom to innovate without being shut out by other market players, or to secure commercial exclusivity.
In partnership with Invest Ottawa, Smart & Biggar offers programs designed to help Ottawa companies understand the value of IP Strategy and how to be better leverage IP to scale up in a competitive market.
