Oliver Stone travels to London for CIPA Congress 2019

Smart & Biggar partner, Oliver Stone, will attend the Chartered Institute of Patent Agents (CIPA) Congress 2019 on Thursday, September 19th, in London, UK.

Oliver, who is a European Patent Attorney and UK Chartered Patent Agent, will meet with peers in the UK patent industry to discuss the IP issues that professionals face in their daily working lives. Among the topics presented are the new rules of procedure of the Boards of Appeal, the patent system from the eyes of a small business and a litigator’s perspective on the enforcement of patents and other IP.

CIPA is the professional and examining body for patent attorneys in the United Kingdom. It represents 2383 chartered patent attorneys, whether they practise in industry or in private practice. Total membership is around 4000 and includes trainee patent attorneys and other professionals with an interest in intellectual property matters.
