Smart & Biggar named Canada’s leading intellectual property litigation firm for the ninth consecutive year at the Benchmark Litigation Canada Awards 2023

Smart & Biggar is proud to be named ‘Intellectual Property Litigation Firm of the Year’ once again at the 2023 Benchmark Litigation Canada Awards. Principals of the firm, Ryan T. Evans and Urszula Wojtyra, were in attendance earlier this week to accept the award at an in-person gala awards ceremony at the Omni King Edward Hotel in Toronto on May 10, 2023.

This marks the ninth consecutive year that Smart & Biggar has received this honour in recognition of the important victories our leading team of IP litigators has championed for our valued clients in high-stakes litigation, across all areas of IP law.

The firm has received this award in addition to our top rank position in the recent 2023 Benchmark Canada Guide which featured ten of Smart & Biggar’s leading Principals as ‘Litigation Stars’ and three identified as ‘Future Stars’ for IP Litigation in Canada. Included in the firm’s coverage by Benchmark, Principals Steven Garland and François Guay were featured among the Top 50 Trial lawyers in Canada.
