Smart & Biggar partners Jean-Sébastien Dupont and Graham Hood will both virtually participate in the Canadian Lawyer Young Lawyers Summit on Tuesday, November 24.

Montreal litigation partner Jean-Sébastien, a recently recognized Lexpert Rising Star, will be featured on the panel “A Conversation with Tomorrow’s Legal Leaders:  What Does in Mean to be an Effective Lawyer in 2021?” Alongside other Rising Stars, Jean-Sébastien will discuss the new skillsets young lawyers need to effectively serve clients in an era of rapid change in the legal profession.  This conversation will explore how lawyers can adapt to be agile and innovative while meeting clients evolving expectations, and what young lawyers can do to prepare for the future of the profession.

Graham Hood, a trademark partner based in Toronto, will sit on the panel “Top 10 Things to Make Your Day More Productive in an Age of Constant Disruption and Remote Work” to discuss ways to maximize time and resources to manage daily tasks and meet increasing client needs. Panelists will cover how to focus internal processes and setting client expectations, how to utilize time and how to harness technology to increase efficiency. They will share key lessons from real-life examples that can be leveraged immediately.

The Young Lawyers Summit provides associates, partners and others in law firm leadership with practical insights and ideas on common challenges, issues and obstacles young lawyers face as they grow their professional profiles and legal practice skills and advance their careers.
