Matthew Norton participates in MacSci Talks for McMaster University

Ottawa associate, Matthew Norton, will participate in MacSci Talks, hosted by the McMaster Science Society (MSS), on Thursday, February 18Matthew will appear alongside Dr. Priya Chopra of William Osler Health Systems, McMaster Alumni Darryl Vaz President of Meducom Health Inc, and pharmacist and registered medical liaison Sonya Dhanjal from Servier Pharmaceuticals.

Matthew’s practice focusses on intellectual property litigation, covering both the federal and provincial courts and all aspects of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks and copyright. Matthew works with a variety of Canadian and international clients of all sizes and spanning a broad range of industries to help grow and protect their IP portfolios. Prior to entering law, Matthew obtained his Master’s degree and worked as a research technician in the fields of cellular biology and genome-wide RNA interference screening.

MacSci Talks is a career event, featuring industry leaders sharing their experiences working in various scientific fields. The talks are organized by MSS for undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in science.
