Smart & Biggar proudly congratulates Daniel Davies, Jean-Sébastien Dupont and Graham Hood on being named in the 2026 edition of Benchmark Litigation, 40 & Under.

Daniel is a Principal and has litigated IP matters for numerous companies from a wide variety of industries. He has successfully led high-stakes trials, appeals, summary judgments, mediations and settlement negotiations, and has appeared in landmark matters, including litigation that affirmed the largest reported Canadian patent infringement award in history before the Supreme Court of Canada.

Jean-Sébastien is a Principal and the firm's Legal & Litigation Practice Group Leader. He is involved in all aspects of patent, copyright and trademark litigation from preparing and initiating new court proceedings to bringing complex cases to trial.

Graham is a Principal and the firm’s Trademarks Practice Group Leader. With well over a decade of experience advising brand owners on anti-counterfeiting and other trademark enforcement matters, he develops pragmatic brand protection strategies to help clients achieve their business goals and address and neutralize infringement risks in the Canadian marketplace.
