Smart & Biggar lawyers visit Austin to attend the INTA Leadership Meeting

Trademark lawyers from around the world will gather in Austin, Texas for the International Trademark Association (INTA) Leadership Meeting from November 19-22, 2019. Representing Smart & Biggar at the meeting are partners, Christian Bolduc, Mark Evans, Philip Lapin, Ekaterina Tsimberis, Mark Biernacki, counsel, Kwan Loh and senior associate, Graham Hood.

Sessions at the Leadership Meeting will address the cutting-edge issues of trademark law, including the latest AI tools available for business, issues relating to the emerging industry of cannabis, Free Trade Zones and Online Counterfeiting, as well as deeper dives into design patent and copyright issues.

The INTA Leadership Meeting brings together committee volunteers and leaders from around the world once a year to advance the Association’s objectives and goals. Participation in the Leadership Meeting is by invite only and exclusive to INTA volunteers who are members of the Board of Directors, past presidents and counsel, committee chairs and vice-chairs, subcommittee chairs, committee members and project team members.
