Working side by side with principals and associates of our firm, you will have an opportunity to work on the most complex and important IP matters in the country, gain access to Canada’s leading IP lawyers, and work in a team-based environment to solve real clients' most pressing IP issues.
Our comprehensive Law Student training program encompasses all aspects of IP, and runs each year from May to August. Each week, a partner or associate will deliver a 1-2 hour learning module with a different IP-related theme. Over the course of the summer, you will be exposed to a broad range of IP-related topics, helping you to determine where you wish to focus for the future.
At Smart & Biggar, you will customize your career path, and we will provide training and financial support to assist you if you choose to become a licensed patent and/or trademark agent.
