Sam (Si Cong) Zhang is a summer student at Smart & Biggar’s Toronto office.
He is a JD candidate at the University of Toronto, where he was a semi-finalist and runner-up appellant in the 2026 Harold G. Fox Intellectual Property Moot. Sam holds an undergraduate degree Microbiology & Immunology from the University of Western Ontario, where he worked as a research assistant.
He is excited to join Smart & Biggar to learn and develop effective approaches while working with advanced scientific concepts in the legal context alongside experienced IP practitioners.
