Ekaterina Tsimberis visits Lausanne/Vevey for the 2019 AIDV Conference and obtains approval for the creation of a Canadian AIDV Chapter

Partner, Ekaterina Tsimberis is attending the 2019 International Wine Law Association (AIDV) Conference in Lausanne/Vevey, Switzerland from July 21-23 amidst the Fête des Vignerons underway in the region. The AIDV Conference is an important international conference within the wine industry and focuses on the geographical indications, intellectual property and regulatory issues faced by wine producers.

On the eve of the conference, Ekaterina co-presented (alongside Chris Wilson of Norton Rose Fulbright) to the AIDV Board of Directors and obtained its approval for the creation of a Canadian AIDV Chapter — an exciting development at this year’s conference.

Ekaterina has also been elected to the AIDV Board of Directors.

For more than 30 years AIDV has been at the forefront of the legal and oenological community. The organization brings together the best legal minds, the wine industry and organizations dealing with production and trade of wine. The AIDV has organized numerous international and regional conferences in nearly all major wine-producing regions, including Burgundy and Tuscany, Rioja and Valais, Cognac and Vienna, Napa Valley and Champagne. AIDV strives for the development and the understanding of all aspects of wine law through education and research, publications, initiatives and discussions.
