Reshika Dhir honoured in Lexpert Rising Stars 2025: Leading Lawyers 40 and Under

Smart & Biggar proudly congratulates Reshika Dhir on being named in the 2025 edition of Lexpert Rising Stars 2025: Leading Lawyers 40 and Under.  

Lexpert Rising Stars honours leading lawyers 40 and under from law firms, in-house departments, and other practices. Winners must demonstrate excellence across several areas, including a successful legal track record working on complex cases, community involvement and pro bono work, depth and breadth of industry knowledge, professional development and mentorship, and client service. 

Reshika is a Principal and the Practice Group Lead for Patents: Electrical and Computer Technologies at Smart & Biggar. She has built a nationally recognized practice advising some of Canada’s most innovative and fastest-growing companies, helping them navigate complex IP challenges across a wide range of advanced technologies, including AI, robotics, aerospace, fintech and power systems. Her guidance helps clients develop patent portfolios that are commercially meaningful and positioned to support long-term growth and innovation. 

Reshika plays a vital leadership role at Smart & Biggar, driving growth through initiative, mentorship and meaningful firm contributions. She has made community mentorship and fostering innovation a cornerstone of her legal career. She actively volunteers with universities, incubators, and community organizations, providing hands-on training to the next generation of IP lawyers while contributing to Canada’s innovation ecosystem. Additionally, she is a frequent speaker at law schools, startup hubs, and professional organizations, including IPIC, presenting on topics such as AI and patent strategies.  

The winners were announced at the Lexpert Rising Stars Gala held at the Liberty Grand in Toronto on November 20, 2025, attended by Reshika Dhir, as well as Stephen Beney and Bhupinder Randhawa.
