Paul's practice focuses on electrical and computer technology, as well as artificial intelligence and machine learning and licensing.

His past technical experience as a software developer provides a deep understanding of the technical aspects associated with Intellectual Property (IP), including preparing IP strategies, patent drafting and prosecution, licensing agreements, IP due diligence, privacy agreements, and website terms and conditions.

Paul’s technical expertise includes various subject matter areas such as computer hardware, computer software, data center technologies, medical devices, and digital biomarker research. He is also familiar with electrical technologies including commercial and consumer electrical devices.

While studying engineering at Queen’s University, Paul helped design, build and competitively race two solar-powered electric vehicles, including at the American Solar Challenge (held in 2003 from Chicago, IL to Los Angeles, CA and in 2005 from Houston, TX to Calgary, AB) and the World Solar Challenge (from Darwin to Adelaide).
