Litigator creates creative IP solutions tailored to client needs
When developing a creative, effective and sophisticated IP strategy, Camille first seeks to understand her client’s innovative story, business strategy and long-term business goals. She uses this knowledge, along with her expertise in patent and trademark law across a wide range of industries, to counsel her clients in identifying, building and protecting their most important intellectual property assets.
Camille’s litigation practice focuses on all areas of intellectual property law, including trademarks, patents and copyrights. She is skilled in various aspects of litigation and trademark applications such as collecting evidence for affidavits, preparing witnesses, and assisting experts in preparing reports in complex patent matters. Camille’s expertise includes drafting written submissions for motions, trials, and appeals before the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal, and the Superior Court of Quebec.
Camille advises a wide range of clients, from multinational corporations to individuals and small to medium-sized enterprises, across diverse industries such as retail, sporting equipment, food and beverage, restaurants, broadcasting, and software and technology.
Prior to joining Smart & Biggar, Camille gained valuable insights as a Judicial Law Clerk to a Federal Court of Appeal Judge in Ottawa and as a member of the in-house counsel team at a large international pharmaceutical company.
