Smart & Biggar is proud to be a finalist in two categories for the inaugural Canadian Law Awards which recognizes the nation’s leading law firms, in-house legal teams, individuals and landmark deals over the past year.

Smart & Biggar has been nominated as the ‘IP Boutique Law Firm of the Year’ and ‘Diversity Initiative of the Year’. Nominees for IP Boutique Law Firm of the Year are judged on the quantity, quality, importance and innovativeness of legal work performed during 2019. The category of Diversity Initiative of the Year is judged on the concrete steps a law firm took during 2019 to promote diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.

The inaugural Canadian Law Awards recognize excellence in the legal profession. The awards are presented by Lexpert and supported by Canadian Lawyer and InHouse. Winners will be announced on October 6, 2020.
