Smart & Biggar shortlisted as leaders for IP Litigation in 2022 Benchmark Canada Awards

Smart & Biggar is pleased to share that the firm is once again shortlisted by Benchmark Canada for the “IP Litigation Firm of the Year” award upholding our position as a dominant force and leader in IP litigation in Canada. The firm is honoured to have received this award and recognition from Benchmark since 2015.

We are also proud to announce that partners Steve Garland and François Guay have each been shortlisted for Canada’s “IP Litigation Lawyer of the Year” individual awards, in reflection of the notable courtroom victories and exceptional results they have achieved on behalf of our clients.

Winners will be announced at this year’s Benchmark Canada Awards Gala on Thursday, May 5 at the Fairmont Royal York, Toronto.

The Benchmark Canada Awards recognize the “leading litigators and most impactful disputes across Canada based upon research conducted between October and January 2022” and these aim to acknowledge “firms and litigators who have performed exceptionally at both local and national levels in the past year.” The full list of nominees is available to view online now.
