Michael is familiar with the challenges that many inventors face when trying to navigate the patenting process. Having been involved in the development of technologies that subsequently became the subject matter of patent applications; he knows the value of having access to a professional who is able to effectively communicate with inventors and can translate inventions in a way that allows for the best protection.
Michael’s experience covers the pharmaceutical and chemical patent fields. He specializes in chemical compositions, small molecules (NCEs), semiconductors, polymers, catalysts and catalytic processes, and manufacturing processes and apparatuses.
Michael works with new technologies; particularly those relating to new drugs, specialty chemicals, industrial chemical processes and clean technologies. With his background expertise in chemistry and wide-ranging experience in several chemical fields, Michael is well-positioned to help inventors protect their inventions and leverage the value of their intellectual property assets.
Prior to entering the legal field, Michael completed a PhD in Chemistry at the University of Toronto and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Calgary.
