Elliott Simcoe attends the 50th anniversary of the APAA in Taiwan

Partner, Elliott Simcoe will attend the 70th Council Meeting of the Asian Patent Attorney Association (APAA) in Taipei from November 9 to 12. This year, 2019, also marks the 50th Anniversary of the APAA. The Council Meeting was last held in Taiwan in 2006.

The APAA 2019 is an opportunity for all participants to explore a wide range of IP hot topics presented in committee meetings, workshops and networking. Presentations will cover trending industry topics, including AI, big data, hurdles to patentability, digital piracy and social media.

The APAA is a non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting and enhancing intellectual property protection in the Asian region (including Australia and New Zealand).
